LAS VEGAS - Tight end DeJhown Mandley signed a free-agent contract with the Miami Dolphins Monday bringing to five the number of former Rebels joining NFL teams this week.
Mandley, whose father played as a wide receiver for both the Detroit Lions and Kansas City Chiefs, was one of 12 free agents who inked with the Dolphins.
Four Rebels agreed to terms Sunday following the NFL Draft, during which no UNLV players were selected.
Offensive lineman Tony Terrell signed with the San Diego Chargers, quarterback Jason Thomas joined the New York Jets, wide receiver/punt returner Troy Mason signed with the San Francisco 49ers and fullback Steven Costa inked a deal with the Indianapolis Colts. All free-agent contracts are non-guaranteed.
