LAS VEGAS - The UNLV women's swim team defeated Air Force 140-82 in a Mountain West Conference dual meet on Saturday, Jan. 17, at the Buchanan Natatorium on the UNLV campus. The Rebel men fell to the Falcons 126-115.
The Rebel women were dominant for most of the meet, taking first place in 10 of the 13 meet events. The men's team won four of the 13 events.
The women's team of Jessie Bradshaw, Shayna Burns, Julie Unrau and Katie Wronn opened the meet with a win in the 400 medley relay. They logged a time of 3:55.36.
UNLV's men also won the meet opening 400 medley relay. The team of Adam Martinson, Bjorn Eriksson, Michael Day and Joe Bartoch finished in 3:23.77.
Alyson Noble won both the 200 (1:52.39) and 500 (5:02.59) freestyle events, while Julie Unrau won the 200 IM (2:08.83) and 200 fly (2:06.35).
Joe Bartoch, Jonathan Hugo and John Byers dominated the 100 free with a 1-2-3 finish. Bartoch won in 46.49 seconds.
Nichole McLean won the 1-meter diving event with a score of 248.40.
