LAS VEGAS (AP) - UNLV's Jerel Blassingame had a team-high 14 points and a game-high eight assists Wednesday night and Michael Umeh added 11 points as the Rebels overcame a four-point halftime deficit and topped the EA Sports All-Stars 62-56 in exhibition action.
Mark Green scored EA Sports' first 14 points, finishing with a game-high 30 and keeping the squad of former college players ahead a majority of the night. Green connected on 6-of-11 3-pointers, making all four of his first-half attempts.
However, the Rebels battled back in the second half and Romel Beck's bucket with 11:38 to play broke a 42-42 tie, giving UNLV the lead for good. Blassingame had two 3-pointers in the rally, and Dustin Villepigue scored six of his eight points down the stretch.
Louis Amundson had a game-high 12 rebounds for the Rebels, who only shot 28-percent in the first half and had three players score in double figures.
UNLV opens its regular season schedule Tuesday at home against St. Mary's.
