TUCSON, Ariz. - UNLV junior golfer Ryan Moore shot a final round 70 to win the National Invitation Tournament by two strokes over Washington's Brock Mackenzie on Tuesday.

Moore, a product of Puyallup, Wash., led the 54-hole event from wire-to-wire after carding an amazing eight-under par 64 in Sunday's opening round.

A candidate for the Hogan Award as the top player in collegiate golf, Moore posted his second career victory and first this season. He also won the 2003 Southern Highlands Collegiate Championship.

With Moore's help, the Rebels tied for sixth in the 11-team field. As a team, UNLV shot 289 on Tuesday and finished at four-over par, 12 shots behind winner Arizona State.

Along with Moore's 70, the Rebels turned in three 73s from Travis Whisman, Ryan Keeney and Andres Gonzales. Sam Hunt shot a 76.

The Rebels will wrap up the regular season at next week's ASU Invitational in Tempe, Ariz., on April 9-10.
