LAS VEGAS - The UNLV men's golf team has been recognized as Golfweek Magazine's Men's Team of the Week, which was announced on golfweek.com Monday.

UNLV cruised to a 10-shot victory over BYU on Saturday at the 19-team William H. Tucker Invitational in Albuquerque, N.M. The Rebels finished the 54-hole event at 13-under 851.

Senior Andres Gonzales claimed medalist honors at 9-under 207 and sophomore Jarred Texter placed second at 7-under. Gonzales became the first UNLV golfer other than former Rebel Ryan Moore to win medalist honors since 2000.

Freshman Seung-Su Han, former AJGA player of the year, tied for 13th.

UNLV's next tournament will be at The Preview in Sunriver, Ore., Sept. 26-28.
