LAS VEGAS (AP) -- Nevada, Reno freshman running back Brandon Fragger rushed for 146 yards on 19 carries and two touchdowns to lead the Wolf Pack over UNLV 31-3 Saturday night, as the Fremont Cannon stays blue for the second consecutive year.

UNLV turned the ball over four times, while Nevada, Reno (3-2), which has won two straight in the series, had no turnovers.

Also for the Wolf Pack, winners of three straight, quarterback Jeff Rowe threw 8-of-14 for 119 yards passing with one touchdown. Wide receiver Mike McCoy (85 yards receiving) caught that touchdown for 79 yards to open the scoring 7-0 with 11:14 left in the first quarter.

Fragger later put the game away on Nevada, Reno's first possession of the second half. After a 17-0 lead at halftime, Fragger ran for a 66-yard touchdown up the middle on the second play from scrimmage.

David Peeples led UNLV (1-3) rushing for 106 yards on 15 carries, but fumbled the ball away twice to UNR cornerback Joe Garcia in the first half.

The Wolf Pack then took advantage of two of three Rebel first-half turnovers. After the first Peeples' fumble at the Rebels' 25 and five Wolf Pack plays from scrimmage, Nevada,Reno kicker Brett Jaekle converted a 36-yard field goal making it 10-0.

The third turnover came when UNLV quarterback Rocky Hinds (18-of-32 for 153 yards, two interceptions) was picked off by Paul Pratt, who ran it 32 yards to the Rebels' nine. Two plays later, Fragger ran it up the middle for a 5-yard touchdown, 17-0.

The Rebels' lone score came in garbage time on a Sergio Aguayo field goal from 21-yards with 4:49 left in the game.

UNLV was out-rushed 180-74.
