EL CAJON, Calif. - UNLV senior golfer Matt Kinsinger shot a final-round 2-over-par 74 and finished in fifth place at 3-over 219 at the Sycuan Collegiate Invitational on Tuesday, which was played at Willow Glen Course at Sycuan Resort (par 72, 6,687).

Wichita State's Ryan Spears shot a final-round 5-under 67 and was the only golfer to finish under par as he won the tournament by two strokes at 1-under 215.

UNLV, which did not compete in the event as a team, sent four individuals to play. Senior Brandon Loska tied for 16th (final-round 74, 8-over 224 total), C.J. Gatto tied for 37th (73, 13-over 229) and Brett Kanda tied for 57th (75, 17-over 233).

Wichita State captured the team title by six strokes at 20-over 884.

UNLV will play its final fall tournament at the Turtle Bay Intercollegiate, Nov. 5-7, in Kahuku, Hawaii.
