FORT WORTH, Texas - The UNLV men's swimming and diving team rallied from six points down with four events left to claim a two-point victory, 151-149, at TCU, while the Rebel women cruised to a 66-point win, 169-103 over the Horned Frogs on Friday afternoon in Mountain West Conference action.

On the men's side, UNLV (3-1, 2-1 MWC) finished with eight wins out of the 16 events, but came up with the first place swims when it was needed. Trailing 116-110, the Rebels swept the top three places in the 100 fly, as freshman David Seiler won in a time of 51.00, just .01 ahead of teammate Peter Lorring (51.01), while Kyle Virva was third in 52.69. Following the 3-meter diving, in which Vincent English was second with a score of 300.68, the Rebels took a 147-136 lead thanks to a one-two finish in the 200 IM, as Tamas Bosnyak was first in 1:54.84, with Nicholas Blank taking second in 1:55.27.

Also winning events for the afternoon for the Rebels was John Mendoza (1000 free, 9:38.27), Johan Claar (200 free, 1:42.12), Bosnyak again in the 100 breast (59.40), Seiler in the 200 fly (1:53.45), Richard Hortness in the 100 free (46.23), and Kier Maitland in the 500 free (4:36.37).

There was no drama on the women's side, as UNLV climbed out to a 27-9 lead after two events, and never looked back as the Rebels won 11 of the first 12 events before exhibitioning the rest of their swims

Double-event winners for UNLV included Marva Harpak (200 free - 1:54.50, 500 free - 5:05.70), Bailey Kuestermeyer (1000 free - 10:17.43 and 200 breast - 2:21.57), and Amanda Weinbrecht (100 back - 57.60, 200 back - 2:02.68).
