WOMEN (6-4, 5-3 MWC) Preview: UNLV enters the conference championships with alot of hope and momentum. Leading the charge for the Rebs will be Bailey Kuestermeyer and Marina Sandback. Both are among the conference leaders in their events, so look for them to score highly for UNLV. Also, watch for Katie Wronn, Marva Harpak and Lani Seaman, all of whom have done a fantastic job this season.
MEN (5-2/4-1 MWC) Preview: The Rebel men look to defend their MWC Swimming Championship this upcoming week in Oklahoma City, Okla. The men's squad will be lead into the meet by Brandon Nelms and Johan Claar. Nelms, already a national and conference swimmer of the week this season, is ready to attack the 50 and 100 free events. Claar also has a lot of success for the Rebels in the long free and breast events, and will look to gain his first ever MWC title. Richard Hortness, Jonas Andersson, Tiger Christian, Devin Phillips and Tamas Bosnyak all will be vital if the Rebels intend to win their third straight conference championship.
Looking Ahead: The Rebel swim team will take part in the UNLV Last Chance Meet over the weekend of March 2nd. All swimmers participating will be trying to qualify for the NCAA Championship meet that takes place March 15-17.
