LAS VEGAS - The UNLV men's golf team remained sixth in the country in the Golfstat rankings and is seventh in Golfweek's poll, which were both released this week.

The top 10 in Golfstat are Stanford, Georgia, Alabama, USC, UCLA, UNLV, Oklahoma State, Lamar, Florida and Texas A&M, while the top 10 in Golfweek are Georgia, Stanford, Alabama, Lamar, USC, Florida, UNLV, Oklahoma State, UCLA and Coastal Carolina.

The Rebels will be back in action this Friday, April 13 through Sunday, April 15 at the 2007 Thunderbird Invitational, which will be played at the Karsten Golf Course (par 72, 7,037 yards) in Tempe, Ariz.

The 54-hole tournament will be played over three days with 18 holes each day. Friday and Saturday's rounds will begin at 7:30 a.m. MDT, while Sunday's final round will start at 7:00 a.m.

Teams competing will include Arizona, Arizona State, Baylor, California, Central Florida, Fresno State, Kansas State, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Oregon, San Diego State, Southern California, Texas A&M, Texas Tech and UNLV.

UNLV's lineup for the tournament will consist of Jarred Texter, C.J. Gatto, Seung-Su Han, Eddie Olson and Blake Trimble.

Last year's Thunderbird champions were Arizona at 22-under 830 and Kansas State's Ben Kern at 14-under 199, which was a tournament record for lowest three-round total.
