TUCSON, Ariz. - UNLV sophomore Seung-Su Han shot a second-round even-par 71 on Friday and remained in the lead - now tied with two other golfers for first place - at 6-under 136 at the 2007 Mountain West Conference Men's Golf Championship being played at the Catalina Course at Tucson National (par 71, 7,136 yards).
Han is tied with TCU's Robby Ormand and San Diego State's Adam Porzak for the individual lead. Ormand shot 3-under Friday, while Porzak carded a 2-under 69. BYU's Daniel Summerhays is in fourth place, two shots back at 4-under 138.
Rebel junior C.J. Gatto remained in the top 10 after shooting a 2-over 73 on Friday. He is tied for ninth place at 1-under 141 after 36 holes.
BYU shot a 4-over 288 on Friday, but extended its lead to eight shots and sits at 8-under 560 for the tournament. No. 5 UNLV is in second place at even-par 568 after a second-round 9-over 293. TCU shot the second round's best score of 1-over 285 and is in third place at 1-over 569. San Diego State is fourth at 3-over, followed by Colorado State and New Mexico, both at 8-over, Utah at 30-over, Wyoming at 37-over and Air Force at 44-over.
Other Rebel second-round scores, 36-hole totals and overall places: freshman Brett Kanda, 75, 4-over 146, T17th; junior Jarred Texter, 74, 5-over 147, T21st; sophomore Eddie Olson, 77, 6-over 148, T27th.
