Ryan Abuan shot a final-round even-par 72 to post his second top-5 finish of the year in UNLV men's golf's fall finale at the Fallen Oak Collegiate co-hosted by Ole Miss and Southern Mississippi at Fallen Oak Golf Club (par 72, 7,480 yards).
REBEL ROUNDUP: Abuan tied for fifth with a career-best-tying score of 8-under 208 for the tournament. Joining Abuan as part of two Rebel top-25 performances, junior
Zach Little tied for 23rd after carding his season-best round of 5-under 67. Behind them in the Scarlet & Gray lineup, senior
Wyatt Plattner (+4) - who added another even-par 72 on the day - and senior
Trevor Lewis (+4) tied for 50th, while senior
Brett Sawaia (+5) tied for 54th. As an individual, junior
Mason Snyder (+12) finished 76th.
In a strong finish, the Rebels (-3) logged their best round of the three-day event with a final-round 4-under 284 to jump two spots up the leaderboard into a seventh-place finish. It gave them their best 54-hole score of the season at 3-under 861.
CHAMPIONS: LSU never relinquished its lead, finishing as the team champion with a 32-under 832. A Tiger also won individual medalist honors as Gunnlaugur Arni Sveinsson shot a 13-under 203.
