Kansas City Transfer Mason Haley Signs With Rebel Program

The Enid, Oklahoma native was a two-time First Team All-Summit League selection and the 2025 SL Newcomer of the Year

LAS VEGAS (UNLVRebels.com) – The UNLV men's golf program has received a signed commitment from Mason Haley to join the Rebels for the 2026-27 season, head coach Andres Gonzales announced Monday.

"We're incredibly excited to welcome Mason to the Rebel family" said Gonzales. "Mason brings a winning mentality and a proven work ethic that aligns perfectly with the culture we are building here at UNLV. His talent on the course is evident and will add to the strength of our team. We expect Mason to make an immediate impact on our lineup and help us compete for championships right away."

Originally from Enid, Oklahoma, Haley transfers to the Rebel program after playing two seasons at Kansas City, where he was a two-time First Team All-Summit League selection and the 2025 SL Newcomer of the Year. He brings with him a 72.23 career scoring average, seven top-10 finishes, as well as career lows (par-72 course) of 7-under 65 for a single round (Grier Jones Shocker Invitational) and 13-under 203 for a tournament (2025 WCC Championship).

As a sophomore last season at UMKC, Haley finished with a team-best 72.03 scoring average to go along with four top-5 finishes. Among his best performances, he earned his first career victory at the Grier Jones Shocker Invitational (-13), while having success competing locally with a third-place effort at the Lake Las Vegas Invitational and a fifth-place finish at the Jackrabbit Invitational held at Boulder Creek Golf Club.

During his freshman season in 2024-25, Haley led the squad in both scoring average (72.43) and par-or-better rounds (9). Additionally, the SL rookie of the year had a trio of top-10 tournament outings, including ties for eighth on separate occasions at the K-State Wildcat Invitational and the Lake Las Vegas Invitational.
