LAS VEGAS - UNLV's season-opening football game at Utah State on Thursday, Aug. 30, will be televised live in Southern Nevada on Las Vegas One (Cox Cable channel 19), director of athletics Mike Hamrick announced.
The Rebels will kick off at 5 p.m. PDT at Romney Stadium in Logan against the Aggies of the Western Athletic Conference.
UNLV radio play-by-play voice Dave McCann will move over to the TV booth and partner with analyst Blaine Fowler while John Hanson, sports director at Lotus Broadcasting, will call the game on radio along with analyst Mike Pritchard on ESPN 920 AM.
The Rebels will open their home schedule on Saturday, Sept. 8 vs. Wisconsin. Season tickets, as well as single-game tickets for all games but Wisconsin, are on sale now by calling (702) 739-FANS or logging on to unlvrebels.com.
The announcement means that at least 10 of UNLV's 12 games in 2007 will be televised locally.
