LAS VEGAS - Incoming UNLV freshman Daniel Cruz was selected to the U.S. Under-17 Men's National Team that will represent the United States at the 2007 FIFA Under-17 World Cup from Aug. 18-Sept. 9 across eight venues in South Korea.

Cruz was one of 21 players to be selected to the squad and it continues a strong summer of recognition for him.

Cruz played for USA Soccer in the Pan American Games last month and also played for the West Region Under-17 team in Italy, which was coached by Rebel head coach Mario Sanchez.
