Postgame Quotes
Air Force vs. UNLV - Oct. 18, 2008
Overall on the game:
"This one is a really hard one to swallow. I felt like we did a lot of things to win the game but obviously it was not good enough. I thought we did a better job on defense playing the option. I think the bottom line is you've got to make plays in each phase of the game, when the game is on the line. We have to make plays on defense, on special teams, and we have to make plays on offense."
"We gave up big plays in the passing game and some big runs and those are things you can't do."
"The positive is we didn't turn the ball over and we are still perfect in the red zone. The negative is we have got to execute at critical times of the game."
On the last drive of the game:
"We have to find a way on that last drive to take it down and score. I believed we were going to and we didn't get it done."
On moving forward after this game:
"We have to keep working to get better and keep fighting to get better. The season is not over. This team is not dead and we are going to come back. We are going to come back and play."
On the play of QB Omar Clayton:
"We do have a young quarterback and he makes a lot of good plays. We also have a situation, unfortunately, where we are in a laboratory where he is learning out there on the field. He is constantly learning."
On playing at BYU next weekend:
"We have a big game next week at BYU. We have to rally up the troops and come back, and go into Provo and win that game."
