LAS VEGAS - UNLV men's golfer Seung-Su Han was named to the PING All-Pacific Region team for 2007-08 as the Golf Coaches Association of America handed out its annual awards.

Han, a junior from Incheon, South Korea, was also honored as an All-Pacific Region recipient last year.

This past season he turned in the best scoring average in the Mountain West Conference with 71.33 per round. He also led the Rebels with 17 rounds at par or better and was tops on the team in rounds under par with 14. He recorded two top-five finishes, with his best coming at the Shoot-out at Angel Park, where he finished second.

Han recorded UNLV's best tournament finishes in relation to par with two 11-under scores - one at the Turtle Bay Intercollegiate and the other at the Jerry Pate National Intercollegiate. He also turned in the team's lowest round in relation to par this year with a 7-under 65 at the Turtle Bay tournament.

Han was also named to the All-MWC team this year for the third straight time.

Each of the nine PING All-Region teams consist of the top 15 individual golfers in their respective region in the Individual Ranking System. Additionally, any player ranked in the top 75 nationally according to the Golfstat or the Sagarin rankings not included in their region's top 15 were added to their all-region team.

Members of the all-region teams are automatically eligible for PING All-America honors.
