Week Thirteen Release in PDF Format 
First Serve: The UNLV Rebels (8-15 overall, 5-9 Mountain West) finished the home portion of their 2009 schedule this past Saturday and will become road warriors the final two weekends of the season. The Rebels will pack their bags for a trip to the Rocky Mountains with scheduled stops in Laramie, Wyo., and Fort Collins, Colo., to close out this season's conference slate.
UNLV will play the Wyoming Cowgirls (12-18, 2-13) Thursday night (Nov. 19) in Laramie at 7:00 pm MT/6:00 pm PT, before heading south to face the Colorado State Rams in Fort Collins for a Saturday afternoon (Nov. 21) match at 1:00 pm MT/12:00 pm PT.
On The Sidelines: The Rebels will close out the 2009 season against two Big West Conference squads at the Mizuno Thanksgiving Tournament (Nov. 27-28) in Long Beach, Calif. UNLV will play Friday, Nov. 27 (7:00 pm) against the host Long Beach State 49ers, who currently are tied for first place in their league. On Saturday, Nov. 28 (5:00 pm), the Rebels will square off against the fifth-place Cal State Fullerton Titans.
Scouting Wyoming: The Wyoming Cowgirls (12-18, 2-14) close down their 2009 season this Thursday when they welcome the UNLV Rebels to Laramie. The Cowgirls began the year with a 10-9 record through their first 19 contests, but have since dropped nine of 11. Wyoming suffered a six-match losing streak and are currently riding a two-match skid through this recent stretch.
Historically speaking, UNLV holds an 19-11 edge in the head-to-head series with Wyoming dating back to 1996. The Rebels have won the past seven overall. The Rebels won the first meeting this season at home by a 3-2 tally on Sept. 22.
Scouting Colorado State: The Colorado State Rams (22-4, 14-1) clinched the 2009 Mountain West Conference title this past weekend after defeating the BYU Cougars in dramatic, five-set fashion. The Rams, who began the year 4-3, have won 17 of their last 18 matches dating back to Sept. 11. Included in this 18-match run are winning streaks of 12 and six matches. The last time CSU suffered defeat was on Oct. 22, when they were swept on the road by TCU.
Historically speaking, CSU holds a 23-6 edge in the head-to-head series with UNLV dating back to 1996. Four of UNLV's victories have come in the past four years (2005-2008), as the teams split the eight meetings. CSU claimed the first contest this year with a 3-0 win in Las Vegas on Sept. 18.
Rare Roofing Materials: In the history of the UNLV volleyball program only two players have etched their names in the top five of all three career blocking categories, Lauren Miramontes (2003-07) and Erin Greenwood (2006-Pres.).
Miramontes, a 2007 AVCA Honorable Mention All-America and three-time All-MWC performer, ranks first in all three categories with 426 total, 80 solos and 344 assisted blocks.
Greenwood keeps climbing the charts with each block she amasses this season and currently sits fourth in total blocks (335) and assisted blocks (276), while ranking fifth in solo (59).
Moving On Up: Besides ranking highly in UNLV's career blocking categories, Erin Greenwood has slowly climbed up five other all-time charts. She ranks highly in matches played, sets played, kills, total attempts and hitting efficiency.
Greenwood has played in every match that she has suited up for since her freshman year of 2006. Currently, her 113 matches played ranks in a tie for the fourth-most in school history. She will move into a third-place tie with Lauren Miramontes (2003-07) when she plays her next contest.
She sits in sixth in sets played with 397. She needs to play five more sets to surpass Christel Eves (1996-99) for fifth. She has played in all but 10 sets in her four-year career.
She owns 881 career kills, which places her securely in sixth place. Angie Sylvas (1997-99) sits in fifth with 912.
She has attempted 2,191 swings, which places her eighth. She needs four more attempts to move into seventh to pass Justine Kamelamela (1997-99) and her 2,194 attempts.
She owns the third-best hitting efficiency in program history with her .288 average. Sheila Nicks (1984-85) sits four percentage points (.292) ahead of Greenwood.
Writing Their Names In The Book: Erin Greenwood isn't the only Rebel to have placed her name in UNLV's career record book this season. Thus far, Cursty Jackson, Samantha Richard, Amanda Alles and Samantha Noland have done so, as well.
Jackson has moved into the hitting efficiency and solo block categories with help from her numbers this season. Currently, she sits seventh in both hitting and solo blocks with a .260 average and 33 putbacks, respectively.
Richard and Alles have moved into the assists category. Richard ranks sixth with 502 helpers to Alles' 10th-place showing with 384.
Noland joins Greenwood and Jackson in the solo block chart at #7 with 34 stuffs.
