LAS VEGAS (UNLVRebels.com) - UNLV Volleyball was one of 230 NCAA Division I programs to receive the American Volleyball Coaches Association's 2025-26 Team Academic Award. The Rebels have earned the award for the 12th time in program history and the 11th honor in the past 12 seasons dating back to the 2007-08 campaign. More impressively, UNLV was tabbed to the organization's Team Academic Honor Roll for the second time in program history and the first time since the 2020-21 season. The Rebels were only one of 50 teams recognized for having a team grade point average that ranks within the top 20%.

UNLV uses the 4.0 scale and the program posted a 3.68 cumulative team grade point average this past academic year. In the Spring, the Rebels compiled a team-record 3.74 GPA and had 12 student-athletes make the Dean's List. During the Fall, the squad posted a 3.66 GPA and 13 made the Dean's List. The Rebels went 13-15 overall on the court during the 2025 season, including 7-11 in Mountain West play. 

A total of 1,432 collegiate and high school volleyball teams across multiple divisions earned the award this season. The AVCA Team Academic Award, which was first handed out following the conclusion of the 1992-93 academic year, honors collegiate and high school volleyball teams that displayed excellence in the classroom by maintaining at least a 3.30 cumulative team grade point average on a 4.0 scale or a 4.10 cumulative GPA on a 5.0 scale.
