LAS VEGAS - Record-breaking senior wide receiver Ryan Wolfe led the way with five honors, highlighted by the Offensive Most Valuable Player Award, as UNLV held its annual postseason football banquet at the South Point Hotel Sunday afternoon.

Despite missing his final game on Saturday because of a foot injury, Wolfe (Santa Clarita, CA) finished 12th in college football history with 283 receptions, which was also the most in UNLV and Mountain West Conference history. This season, he led the MWC with 6.73 catches per game (17th nationally), had 74 grabs for 760 yards and also earned statistics as a rusher (41 net yards) and on defense (six tackles and one pass breakup). He also won the following: the Bill "Wildcat" Morris Most Inspirational Award for the second consecutive season; Offensive Captain Award, which was voted on by his teammates; the Rene Arceneaux Award, which is given to a player who has demonstrated exemplary improvement in academic progress; and the "Doc" Tobler Senior Award, which goes to a final-year player who brings the highest credit to himself and the university.

The Defensive MVP went to senior Martin Tevaseu (Boonville, CA), as the big tackle started every game and clogged the middle of the line for the Rebels this fall. The former Arizona State signee and Santa Rosa JC transfer finished with 28 total tackles and a QB sack. He also was voted by his teammates to receive the Defensive Captain Award.

The Special Teams MVP was a sophomore linebacker from Las Vegas. Nate Carter (Las Vegas High School) played on nearly every special team unit and was a hard-hitting force on kick coverage, providing multiple highlight hits. Another kick-team stalwart, senior running back Chris Brogdon (Phoenix, AZ) was voted the Special Teams Captain Award.

Junior offensive tackle Matt Murphy (Lake Forest, CA) earned the Outstanding Character Award, which goes to a player who demonstrates outstanding character and a sense of responsibility on and off the field. His linemate, senior guard Joe Hawley (Yorba Linda, CA), won the Rebel Spirit Award, which is handed out to a senior who exhibited toughness, positive attitude and a strong commitment to his teammates.

Senior wide receiver Rodelin Anthony (Immokalee, FL) took home the Robert Cline Award, which annually goes to a senior who demonstrated a strong commitment to his team, university and community while also showing good sportsmanship on the field.

Also, senior linebacker Adam Gent (Bremerton, WA) picked up the Jack Gilmore Coaches Award, which is given to a former walk-on player who excelled on the field.

A trio of locals won scout players of the year as freshman WR Aaron Reed (Silverado HS) won on the offense, junior linebacker Anthony White (Palo Verde HS) was tabbed on defense and freshman linebacker Robert Adell (Green Valley HS) earned the nod for his work on special teams.
