LAS VEGAS - Nearly 50 current and former UNLV student-athletes are eligible to take part in Saturday's Spring Commencement Ceremonies at the Thomas & Mack Center on campus.
The list includes Rebels who wrapped up their course work this semester as well as those expected to complete their degrees during the summer sessions. Two men's golfers and one women's golfer will not be able to make the traditional "walk" because they are out of town competing in postseason tournaments. Some graduates, including men's basketball players Tre'Von Willis and Derrick Jasper; and football players Channing Trotter, Preston Brooks, Travis Dixon and Daniel Mareko, have remaining eligibility and will compete for their respective teams again next season.
More than 3,200 UNLV undergraduate, graduate and professional students are eligible to participate in this year's spring commencement ceremonies, which are split into two sessions beginning at 9 a.m. and 2 p.m.
The UNLV Athletics Department congratulates the Class of 2010.
