Started the first game of the season against Sacramento State (February 19) before suffering a season-ending injury ... Went 1-for-3 with a home run in the 10-8 loss.

2009
Started 42 games and played in 43 ... Tied for third on the team with a .364 batting average while his five triples were second on the squad ... Drove in 32 runs, scored 40 runs and laced nine doubles to go with three home runs ... Collected 20 multi-hit games, including fi ve games with three or more ...
