LAS VEGAS (UNLVRebels.com) - For the first time this season, Golfweek has the UNLV men's golf team ranked in its top 25 as the Rebels came in at No. 12 in its most recent poll, which was released this week.
The Rebels are ranked No. 13 by Golfstat, which released its most recent rankings last week.
UNLV won three of the four tournaments it competed in this fall: the Gene Miranda Falcon Invitational in Colorado Springs, Colo., on Sept. 19, the William H. Tucker Invitational in Albuquerque, N.M., on Oct. 1, and the Herb Wimberly Intercollegiate in Las Cruces, N.M., on Oct. 25.
Texas is the nation's top-ranked team in the Golfweek rankings, followed by Oregon, Stanford, Auburn and Washington to round out the top five. Spots six through 10 are Arkansas, Alabama, Georgia Tech, California and North Florida. UCLA is 11th. The complete list may be viewed here.
UNLV will open its spring season in February at the at the John Burns Intercollegiate in Hawaii.
