Eight More Wins On Day Two

LAS VEGAS (UNLVRebels.com) - The UNLV men's and women's swimming and diving teams posted a total of eight first place swims, four each, on the second day of action on Saturday in the UNLV Winter Invitational. Both Rebel teams are in first place in the three-day meet, held at Buchanan Natatorium, which will conclude on Monday.

The 19th ranked UNLV men claimed a win in the 200 medley relay, with Charlie Tapp, Wernher Deem, Cody Roberts and Steven Nelms winning with a time of 1:31.45. Roberts won the 100 fly in 47.86, Andrew Morrell claimed the 100 breast in 54.00, and Balint Batka was first in the 100 back with a time of 50.34.

On the women's side, UNLV won both relays on the night. Carmen Robb, Elise Warren, Katelyne Herrington and Rachel Dixon teamed up to swim a time of 1:44.67 in the 200 medley relay, while Jessica Marsh, Chelsea Morris, Herrington and Shawnee Landolt were first in the 800 free relay with a time of 7:33.81. Also winning events was Marsh in the 200 free (1:51.62) and Herrington in the 100 fly (56.09).
