LAS VEGAS (UNLVRebels.com) - The 52nd-ranked UNLV women's tennis team honored its three seniors before Sunday's final match of the season at the Fertitta Tennis Complex and then celebrated by blanking Air Force 7-0 to remain undefeated in league play this spring.

The Lady Rebels improved to 14-4 overall and 3-0 in the MWC while finishing with a 2011 record of 12-2 on their home courts.

UNLV began the morning by sweeping three doubles matches for one team point. Nives Pavlovic and Aleksandra Josifoska needed a tiebreaker to take a tough 8-7 result at the top of the lineup; Lucia Batta and senior Anna Maskaljun won 8-0 at No. 2; and the other two UNLV seniors, Jana Albers and Adrienn Hidvegi, paired up to win 8-2 on court three. For Maskaljun, the triumph moved her into a tie with former Lady Rebel Alisa Razina for third place on the school's career doubles victory list with 82.

For the second consecutive day, the hosts did not lose a set in singles play.

Batta, ranked 110th, won 6-2, 6-0 over Christen Monreal at No. 1 to up her freshman record to 23-7; Josifoska whitewashed Tahlia Smoke 6-0, 6-0 at No. 2; Pavlovic won 6-2, 6-2 over Melissa Cecil at No. 3; Hidvegi swept Sarah Cassman 6-2, 6-2 at No. 4; Albers won 6-1, 6-3 over Hannah Drake at No. 5; and Maskaljun blanked Anastasia Hueffner 6-0, 6-0 on court six to improve to 21-4 on the season, including an impressive 13-1 mark in duals.

"Air Force always competes extremely hard but I think our girls managed the match really well today," said UNLV head coach Kevin Cory. "Overall, this was a great way to end a successful weekend. It's amazing how quickly the four years of having Anna and Adrienn here, plus the two years since Jana transferred in, have gone. All three of them are not only outstanding tennis players but are also outstanding student-athletes who are on track to graduate with honors, so we are really proud of them."

Next up, UNLV will take on TCU Saturday in a neutral-site match in Albuquerque, N.M.
