LAS VEGAS (UNLVRebels.com) - UNLV sophomore standout Aleksandra Josifoska has won her third career Mountain West Women's Tennis Player of the Week award, the league announced.

Josifoska, who also earned the honor twice as a freshman, is the league's first winner of 2012. She went a combined 6-0 in singles and doubles last weekend as the Lady Rebels started their season 3-0 with wins over New Mexico State, Pacific and Weber State.

Overall, Josifoska, who is ranked 87th in the nation, improved to 14-5 in singles and 8-4 in doubles this season.

The 36th-ranked Lady Rebels travel to No. 7 Cal on Friday in the first round of the ITA Kickoff Weekend event.
