AUBURN, Ala. (UNLVRebels.com) -
UNLV closed up action on Saturday at the NCAA Women's Swimming and Diving Championships, finishing in the team standings for the first time since 2009. This year's meet was held at the James E. Martin Aquatic Center on the Auburn University campus.
Thanks to its five total points, the Rebels finished in 43rd place with five points. California won the 2012 championship title with 412.5 team points.
UNLV had one swim on the day, with sophomore Rachel Dixon competing in the 100 free. She finished 40th in the morning preliminaries with a time of 49.56, the second-fastest time in UNLV history and just .13 seconds off a school record.
