EUGENE, Ore. (UNLVRebels.com) - Former UNLV student-athlete Christine Spence (2001-05) ran the sixth-fastest time in the semifinals of the women's 400m hurdles Friday at the 2012 U.S. Olympic Trials held at Hayward Field in Eugene, Ore. Spence finished third overall in her heat with a time of 55.72.

Spence will have to wait until Sunday, July 1, for the final race, which is set for 4:20 pm.

Spence is looking to join Amanda Bingson (women's hammer throw) and Khadevis Robinson (men's 800m) in London after the pair qualified earlier at the Trials.
