FLUSHING, N.Y. (UNLVRebels.com) - UNLV standout Lucia Batta lost her Round of 16 singles match on Friday morning at the prestigious USTA/ITA National Indoor Collegiate Championships being played at the Billie Jean King National Tennis Center.

The senior, ranked 41st in the nation, fell to eighth-seeded and 60th-ranked Silvia Garcia of Georgia, 6-4, 6-1 to close her fall tournament singles record at 11-2.

The Lady Rebels are off until hosting the annual Freeman Memorial Championships Jan. 17-19.
