UNLV Softball Camp Website

LAS VEGAS (UNLVRebels.com) - The UNLV softball program will host three softball camps this weekend on campus at Eller Media Stadium. Two of the camps will run from Saturday, Dec. 14 through Sunday, Dec. 15 and focuses on offensive and defensive instruction, while another is concentrated on pitching and catching and is slated for Saturday evening.

The two-day camps are broken down by age groups with the first one intended running from 9:00 am to noon for athletes aged eight through 13. The second one is set for 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm and geared towards athletes ranging from 14 to 18 years old.

The pitching and catching camp is scheduled to run from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Saturday.

Each camp will allow the attendee to learn key fundamentals and drills that the Rebels use to enhance their game. Players will be separated by age and ability level with the camps designed for all skill levels.

All players should bring the following to camp: batting helmet, batting gloves, bat, glove, cleats, turf shoes, sweats, knee pads, towel, water bottle, money for snacks and souvenirs. All catchers will need to bring their own gear, as well.

In addition to the three December camps, the program will host a Rebel Softball Academy Winter Elite Camp on Jan. 25-26, 2014.The Elite Camp, which will run from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm, offers top players the chance to learn and play games in a competitive and fast-paced environment. Players will receive extensive instruction in hitting, pitching and fielding by UNLV's coaches, while getting a chance to show off their skills in games.
