LAS VEGAS (UNLVRebels.com) - Coming off a win in its only exhibition game of the season, the UNLV men's basketball team will open its 2014-15 regular season on Friday, Nov. 14, against Morehead State at 7:30 p.m. at the Thomas & Mack Center. The lid-lifter of UNLV's 57th season of men's basketball is part of the Coaches vs. Cancer Classic, with two home games before heading to Brooklyn, N.Y., for the championship rounds.

Friday's game against the Eagles is also part of a doubleheader with UNLV's women's basketball team as the Lady Rebels will face Texas A&M-Corpus Christi at 4 p.m., also at the Thomas & Mack Center.

The Runnin' Rebels defeated Florida National, 100-65, on Nov. 5 in its exhibition game. Six UNLV players scored in double figures, led by sophomore forward Christian Wood's 23 points, 14 rebounds and four blocks. Freshman guard Rashad Vaughn scored 16 points, while freshman forward Dwayne Morgan had 13 points and 14 rebounds. Senior guard Cody Doolin dished out nine assists with just one turnover.

Friday's game will have no television coverage, however a live Mountain West Network video stream will be available for free at UNLVRebels.com with Tony Cordasco and Keith Starr calling the action. Jon Sandler and Robert Smith will handle the radio call, which may be heard live on ESPN Radio 1100 AM/100.9 FM. All internet links along with live stats will be available at UNLVRebels.com.
