LAS VEGAS (UNLVRebels.com) - UNLV football head coach Bobby Hauck announced Sunday that six players had been voted by the team to serve as permanent captains for the 2014 season.

The group includes three from each side of the ball and four seniors and two juniors.

After a vote by players, senior offensive lineman Brett Boyko (Saskatoon, Saskatchewan/St. Joseph HS), senior wide receiver Devante Davis (Galena Park, TX/North Shore HS) and senior tight end Taylor Barnhill (Rhome, TX/Justin NW HS) from the offense will be joined by senior defensive back Mike Horsey (Baltimore, MD/Dunbar HS), junior safety Peni Vea (Kailua-Kona, HI/Kealakehe HS) and junior defensive lineman Sonny Sanitoa (Pago Pago, American Samoa/Samoana HS) from the defense in leading the team this fall.
