LAS VEGAS (UNLVRebels.com) - UNLV's final entry still alive in the main draw, singles player Aiwen Zhu, was eliminated in Saturday's quarterfinals of the 2015 USTA/Intercollegiate Tennis Association Mountain Region Championships being played at the Fertitta Tennis Complex. Zhu fell 6-2, 6-4 to Denver's Bianca Mok to close out the host's action. Four Rebels did win added singles matches on Saturday, however. The singles final is set for Sunday at 10 a.m. Admission is free of charge to watch Nuria Ormeno of Colorado face Julia O'Loughlin of Denver. This event, which includes players from 18 western teams, is one of 24 USTA/ITA Regional Championships for NCAA Division I men and women taking place over these next two weeks of October at campuses throughout the country. The singles and doubles champions will advance to the 2015 USTA/ITA National Intercollegiate Indoor Championships, taking place November 6-9, at the indoor facilities at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center, located in Flushing, N.Y.
