LAS VEGAS (UNLVRebels.com) - The UNLV track & field program will host its annual Scarlet & Gray Challenge at Myron Partridge Stadium & Sheila Tarr-Smith Field Friday beginning at 10:00 am. The intrasquad scrimmage is comprised of six track and five field competitions. Included in the mix will the department mile (open to all UNLV Athletics staff and faculty members) at 12:15 pm.

The festivities begin on the infield with the hammer throw and high jump at 10:00 and 10:15 am, respectively. Track action gets underway at 10:30 am with the 60m hurdles followed by the 600m (10:45 am), 300m (11:00 am), mile (11:20 am) and 60m (11:45 am). In addition to the aforementioned field events, the long jump (10:45 am), javelin (11:00 am) and shot put (11:50 am) will take place. The 4x400m relay, which is open to all of UNLV’s teams, will cap the competition at 12:30 pm.

The Scarlet claimed last year’s scrimmage by 14 points, 120 to 106, despite the Gray team winning six of the 11 events.
