AUSTIN, Texas (UNLVRebels.com) - UNLV track & field had four of its own participate in Thursday's action at the Nike Clyde Littlefield Texas Relays at Mike A. Myers Stadium. The four-day meet, which began Wednesday and concludes Saturday, features more than 7,000 entries, including top college and professional athletes as well as hundreds of high school squads from the Lone Star State.
The Rebels had two participants in both the track and field events Thursday. Auzsane Crowe-Carter finished sixth overall in the 1500m with a time of 4:36.58. Joniece Ervin was 12th in the 400m hurdles (1:01.61), while Cortney Miller finished in the same spot in the hammer throw (177-8/54.17). Kylee Vandenberg took 30th in the javelin (129-0/39.33m).
Friday's schedule on the track is slated for a 9:35 am start with the women's 4x100m relay. The Scarlet & Gray will not only have entries in the 4x100m, but also the 4x400m, 1600m sprint medley and distance medley relays. Individually, Ke'Nya Hardge and Taylor Pegram will run in the 100m hurdles, while Drea Austin and Destiny Smith-Barnett will run in the 100m.
Also representing UNLV in Texas' capital city are Krystal Wharton and MacKenna Howard, who will compete in the long jump and shot put, respectively, Sunday.
