IOWA CITY, Iowa - UNLV competed in four events Friday and stand in 28th place overall after the second day of action at the 2015 NCAA Men's Swimming & Diving Championships. This year's meet, which concludes on Saturday, is being held at the Campus Recreation and Wellness Center on the University of Iowa campus.

Texas remained in the overall lead with 399 points while California is second with 275, and Michigan has moved into third place with 210 points. UNLV has 12 points for its 28th-place standing, and the Rebels are three points behind the top non-Power 5 school, BYU (23rd with 15 points). Saturday's action begins with the preliminaries at 9 am (PT) and the finals at 5 pm (PT). The night finals will be streamed live on ESPN3.com.

The morning's first event was the 200 medley relay, and the Rebels' squad of junior Henrique Machado, freshman Boris Kulizhnikov, junior Dillon Virva and sophomore Or Sabatier posted a 21st-place finish with a time of 1:26.69. The Rebels had three more swims in the morning prelims. First was Virva who placed 40th in the 100 fly. Junior Tom Paco-Pedroni was 36th in the 200 free in 1:36.41, and Machado turned in a time of 47.16 to finish 32nd in the 100 back.

UNLV will swim in three events on Saturday: the 200 back (Machado), the 100 free (Virva, Paco-Pedroni, Machado) and the 400 free relay.
