LAS VEGAS (UNLVRebels.com) -- UNLV baseball (15-21, 2-14 Mountain West) fell 9-0 to New Mexico (22-15, 12-7 Mountain West) on Friday night at Earl E. Wilson Stadium.
The Lobos scored their runs in the first, third, fourth and fifth innings. Four UNM players finished with multiple hits in the contest and Toller Boardman (7-1) tossed 7.0 innings of shut out ball before giving way to Alex Estrella.
Junior Joey Armstrong had a strong day at the plate for the Rebels, going 3-for-3 with a double and a walk. Morgan Stotts also finished the game with multiple hits, going 2-for-4 in the game.
Junior Kenny Oakley (2-4) took the loss for UNLV, allowing five runs on six hits. Cody Roper, Corey Wilson and Dan Skelly all made relief appearances.
The two teams will continue the three-game set at 2:05 p.m. Saturday. Junior Ben Wright (0-1, 2.35 ERA) is expected to be on the mound for the Rebels, while freshman James Harrington (0-0, 3.31 ERA) is probable for the Lobos.

This season at Earl E. Wilson Stadium, fans will enjoy a new and improved concession stand. Smoken Sams catering will be providing entrees that range from barbecue sandwiches, hot dogs and hamburgers to nachos, chicken fingers and fries. A variety of beverages will also be available.
