Beach Invitational: Meet Central | Saturday's Results

NORWALK, Calif. (UNLVRebels.com) - The UNLV track & field team picked up three top-eight finishes at the Beach Invitational, which was held at Cerritos College's Falcon Stadium Saturday. Taylor Pegram was the top finisher for UNLV with a fourth-place showing in the 100m hurdles (13.78), while Sara Williams and Amanda Berg placed sixth (37:32.70 season best) and seventh (38:06.10 SB) in the 10,000m, respectively.

The Rebels had a pair finish 14th or better in the 100m hurdles with Akia Armstrong in 11th (18-3.25/5.57m) and Kylee Vandenberg in 14th (18-1.75/5.53m SB).

Kenia Bonilla notched a pair of season bests in the 200m (24.53) and 100m (11.94).

MacKenna Howard, who finished second overall in the shot put at the Mt. SAC Relays Friday, tossed a distance of 146-3 (44.58m) in the discus one day later.

The Rebels return to action next week (Saturday, April 25) in Clovis, Calif., at the Fresno State's Bulldog Invitational.
