Alberts Rebounds With Win In Tulsa

TULSA, Okla. (UNLVRebels.com) - UNLV junior Ruben Alberts closed out his play Sunday with a victory at the 2016 St. Francis ITA Men's Tennis All-American Championships being hosted at the Michael D. Case Tennis Center.

Alberts, playing in the consolation singles draw of Prequalifying, rallied past Nebraska's Chris Dean, 6-7 (4), 6-1, 6-3.

The Rebels will have one entry in the event's Qualifying draw, which starts Monday. Alexandr Cozbinov will take on homestanding Jarod Hing of Tulsa in the morning.

In Qualifying doubles, Alberts will team with senior standout Jakob Amilon to take on Jake Hansen and Eric Rutledge of Rice later in the day.
