LAS VEGAS (UNLVRebels.com) - UNLV had another strong effort Saturday, combining for an overall record of 7-1 in singles and doubles during the second day of the Rebel Tennis Women's Invitational at the Fertitta Tennis Complex.

Aiwen Zhu will play for the title on Sunday in Flight Two after downing Samantha Czarniak of Arizona, 6-4, 3-6, 6-3. Anna Bogoslavets will look to the win Flight Three after downing Charline Anselmo of SMU, 6-2, 6-0.

In doubles play, Carol Yang and Zhu teamed up to whitewash their opponents from Arizona 8-0 and will play a duo from North Carolina State for the Flight One crown. The Rebels also advanced in Flight Two as Paola Artiga and Bogoslavets downed a duo from Purdue 8-3.

Joining the Rebels at the event are competitors from Texas A&M, SMU, Purdue, North Carolina State, Arizona and Mountain West Conference rival Colorado State.

All matches are free and open to the public. Final-day action gets underway with doubles play on Sunday at 10 a.m.
