SEATTLE (UNLVRebels.com) - For the second consecutive year UNLV's Nikki Regalado reset the track & field program's indoor 5000m mark at the University of Washington's Husky Classic. After posting a program- and personal-best time of 17:00.74 at the 2015 edition held at the Dempsey Indoor, the senior one-upped herself by nearly six seconds Friday night with a 16:54.99 effort in identical surroundings.

In addition to Regalado's participation in the 5000m, Spencer Moore also ran a personal-best time of 17:20.47 in the event.

Laura Anuakpado registered an 11th-place finish in the 200m with a time of 25.13.

Day two of the Husky Classic kicks off Saturday at 9:00 am with the weight throw (Cortney Miller and Vanessa Sierra) and 60m hurdles (Joniece Ervin, Amari Norris and Taylor Pegram). The 60m will follow with Drea Austin, Asia Cooper, Micayla Coquia and Ayana Gales thirty minutes later. Overall, UNLV will have entrants in nine events; four field (weight throw, high jump, long jump and shot put) and five track (60m, 400m, 800m, 60m hurdles and 4x400m relay).
