LAS VEGAS (UNLVRebels.com) - The 2016 campaign is off to a great start for the UNLV women's tennis team as its win streak stayed alive after defeating Idaho 4-0 on Saturday at the Fertitta Tennis Complex.

The Rebels improved to 5-0 while the Vandals fell to 5-4.

UNLV won two doubles matches to secure the team point. Carol Zi Yang and Aiwen Zhu downed Marianna Petrei and Belen Barcenilla 6-2 at the top position while Iren Kotseva and Paola Artiga finished off Ana Batiri and Lucia Badillos 6-1 at the third spot.

In singles, the hosts swept three matches.

Zhu beat Rita Bermudez 6-1, 6-1 at No. 2; Artiga posted a win against Batiri 6-2, 6-2 at No. 3; and Anna Bogoslavets defeated Barcenilla 6-1, 6-1 on court four.

The Rebels will be back on the courts Sunday, hosting a double header against Youngstown State and Southern Utah. Doubles play will begin at 10 a.m. and admission is free of charge.
