LAS VEGAS (UNLVRebels.com) - UNLV freshman Aiwen Zhu was named the program's second Mountain West Women's Tennis Player of the Week in the last three weeks, the league announced Wednesday.

Zhu went a combined 5-0 in singles and doubles last weekend, including a win at the No. 1 singles spot, as part of the team's victories over New Mexico State, Weber State and Pacific. She and partner Carol Yang also teamed up for two doubles victories at the top position as UNLV began the season 3-0. Yang won the same honor two weeks ago.

A native of Wuxi, China, Zhu improved to 11-5 overall in singles and 10-5 in doubles during her first season as a Rebel. She and the rest of the team will next play at UC Irvine on Friday.
