Thursday was the first day of action for UNLV junior Lina Rathsack at the 2016 NCAA Women's Swimming Championships, held this year at the Herb McAuley Aquatic Center on the campus of Georgia Tech.
Rathsack competed in the Thursday preliminaries in the 200 IM. Her time for the event was 2:01.48, putting her 54th in the nation. It was the second-fastest time in her career, just trailing her school-record mark of 1:59.21.
Rathsack will return to the pool on Friday morning for the preliminaries in the 100 breast.
