LAS VEGAS (UNLVRebels.com) - The UNLV women's tennis team rounded out its doubleheader strong after defeating Southern Utah 5-0 Saturday at the Fertitta Tennis Complex.

This marks the Rebels first 11-match winning streak since the 2010 season.

The Rebels improved to 11-0 while the Thunderbirds fell to 1-10.

UNLV shut out Southern Utah in doubles to capture the team point. No. 47 ranked Carol Zi Yang and Aiwen Zhu posted a win against Veronika Rogova and Laura Martin, 6-1, at the top position; Anna Bogoslavets and Reka Szentes doubled up Evgenia Marushko and Teresa De Enrique, 6-3, at No. 2; and Iren Kotseva and Paola Artiga beat Charity Sagiao and Emily Lemmon, 6-1, at the bottom of the lineup.

Moving to singles, the hosts swept four matches. No. 61 ranked Yang downed Rogova 6-2, 6-2 at No. 1; Artiga defeated De Enrique 6-2, 6-2 at No. 3; Szentes beat Lemmon 6-2, 6-1 at No. 5; and Mercedes Lopez won against Sagiao 6-0, 6-2 on court six.

UNLV will return to the Fertitta Tennis complex Sunday when it hosts Texas State. Doubles play starts at 9 a.m. and admission to all UNLV home matches is free of charge.
