LAS VEGAS (UNLVRebels.com) - The UNLV women's tennis team posted its tenth straight win in the first of two matches on the day. The Rebels downed the Roadrunners 6-1 on Saturday at the Fertitta Tennis Complex.

The Rebels improved to 10-0 while the Roadrunners fell to 6-8.

In the win over the Roadrunners, the hosts won two of three doubles matches to take a 1-0 lead. Anna Bogoslavets and Reka Szentes downed Nicole Karaklis and Alena Shichkova 6-1 at the second position while Iren Kotseva and Paola Artiga beat Lina Hallgren and Charleen Tiwari 6-2 at the third spot.

In singles, UNLV won five matches, two of which went to a tiebreaker.

Aiwen Zhu rallied to beat Miriam Rosell Soler 6-4, 3-6, 6-2 at No. 1; No. 61 ranked Carol Zi Yang defeated Jacobea Junger 6-3, 7-6 at No. 2; Artiga outlasted Shichkova 6-3, 3-6, 6-3 at No. 3; Bogoslavets breezed past Karaklis 6-1, 6-1 at No. 4; and Kotseva won against Tiwari 6-1, 6-4 on court six.
