March 8, 2016 LAS VEGAS (UNLVRebels.com) - The UNLV women's tennis team will be tested early this week at the Fertitta Tennis Complex as it is set to host No. 61 ranked Old Dominion on Wednesday. The Monarchs currently have a three-match win streak and have posted notable wins against No. 37 ranked Florida State, No. 49 ranked Indiana, and No. 57 ranked Harvard. Doubles play will begin at 10:30 a.m. PT and admission is free of charge.
The Rebels will then travel to Idaho to compete in dual-matches. UNLV will play BYU on Saturday followed by its second conference contest against Boise State on Sunday. Both days will begin with doubles at 10 a.m. PT at the Appleton Tennis Center.
The Rebels are currently 12-0 after defeating UTSA 6-1 and blanking Southern Utah and Texas State 5-0. It is the second-longest winning streak in program history, trailing only a 16-match victory string in 1992.
Leading the way is Carol Zi Yang who is ranked No. 63 in singles and has a record of 13-2.
