LAS VEGAS (UNLVRebels.com) - UNLV will face USC in football one year earlier than previously announced, the two schools announced Friday.

The Rebels will take on the Trojans for only the second time when they meet Saturday, Sept. 1, 2018.

The game was originally scheduled to be played Aug. 31, 2019, when it was announced early last year.

The Rebels, who will be paid a guarantee of $1.15 million for the trip, will play the Trojans in the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum. The only previous meeting of the two programs came in 1997 when USC rallied to win 35-21.

UNLV’s other non-conference road game set for the 2018 season is at Arkansas State on Sept. 22.
