LAS VEGAS (UNLVRebels.com) - UNLV placed a 18 members of the women's swimming and diving team on the 2016 Spring Academic All-Mountain West team, the league office announced this week.

In addition, 12 from the squad received MW Scholar-Athlete Award honors, the highest number of any UNLV team. Named to that team was Lauren Erickson, Julia Fehervari, Leah Fisk, Elene Gavrilova, Kristina Hendrick, Janelle Nguyen, Ivy Provines, Lina Rathsack, Michele Serra, Gozde Tekin, Tessa Thull and Michelle Troup.

To be eligible for selection to the Academic All-MW team, student-athletes must have completed at least one academic term at the school while maintaining a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or better, and be a starter or significant contributor on their team. To be eligible for selection as a MW Scholar-Athlete, student-athletes must have completed at least two academic terms at the member institution, while maintaining a cumulative grade point average of 3.5 or better, and have participated in varsity competition for their athletic team.
