UNLV's Stay At Olympic Trials Comes To A Close

EUGENE, Ore. (UNLVRebels.com) - UNLV track & field alumna Lekeisha Lawson finished 22nd overall in the first round of the 200m Friday at the 2016 U.S. Olympic Trials. Lawson claimed a time of 23.36 and finished fourth in her heat contested at the University of Oregon's Hayward Field.

Lawson, who ran for the Scarlet & Gray from 2006-09, claimed 17th overall in the 100m semifinals earlier in the week. She was one of three with ties to the Rebel program to compete in the 10-day event, as fellow alumna Amanda Bingson finished fourth in the hammer throw with a toss of 230-8 (70.30m) while rising senior Kaysee Pilgrim was 11th in the long jump (5-10.5/1.79m).
